Maveric is a multi-talented MC/DJ/Producer and Tutor! Having been involved with music from the age of ten he began learning Piano Forte and Music Theory reaching grade 5 in both. This progressed into synth based music production and lyric writing – notably Hip-Hop.
Maveric was part of the legendary  ‘SONIC BOOM’ – a drum n bass night  (which ran from 1998 – 2005); the night was based in his home town of Leicester and soon caught the attention of upcoming DJs and MCs wanting to perform. The night became a platform for  Maveric who was now hosting  sets alongside A-list DJs, gaining experience and making great links that took him as far as – HONG KONG, BEJING, SINGAPORE, GERMANY and AMSTERDAM. Whist performing at Sonic Boom, DJ SS (Founder of Formation Records Leicester) spotted Maveric and invited him to perform at his ‘Club Formation Night’ which allowed Maveric to perform in venues based in London, Manchester, Newcastle, Sheffield along side A List Djs and MCs. Around the same time Maveric held down residencies at ‘HYSTERIA’ (various UK venues) ‘DETONATE’ based in Nottingham and ‘GET IT ON’ – Lemington Spa.

Maveric has returned to the studio and has been producing dubstep, within this genre he goes under the name ‘JOHN MAVERIC’.  So far hes had several releases one of  which was a collaboration with Rob Sparx, the 2009 smasher ‘Windscreen Sniper’ released on Z-Audio. He’s also been establishing himself as a DJ playing dark, deep atmospheric dubstep, which tends to be the style he produces.

Due to Maveric’s production and DJ experiences and making new links within the dubstep scene. Maveric returned to the mic hosting sets for Drum and Bass/Dubstep DJs NERO at Leeds, Lincoln, Nottingham, Bristol, Coventry and Manchester. Following this Maveric  has now made a strong link in his home town with dubstep giants BAR-9  and is hosting their sets on a regular basis. Maveric is a mature mc who can adapt his vocal style easily to suit progressive, jump-up, dark or  tear-out dubstep and drum and bass
